FISP Cycle 10 deadlines

Cycle 10 runs from 21 February 2025 to 20 February 2030. Which filing window applies to a given building depends on the last digit of its block number.

The sub-cycles

  • Sub-cycle 10A. Block numbers ending in 4, 5, 6 or 9. Filing window closes 21 February 2027.
  • Sub-cycle 10B. Block numbers ending in 0, 7 or 8. Window runs 21 February 2026 to 21 February 2028.
  • Sub-cycle 10C. Block numbers ending in 1, 2 or 3. Window runs 21 February 2027 to 21 February 2029.

Roughly 17,000 to 18,000 buildings fall within each cycle citywide.

Finding your sub-cycle

Take the tax block number for the property and look at its last digit. That places the building in 10A, 10B or 10C. The borough, block and lot for any address can be looked up through the Department's public property records.

The interval change

Local Law 49 of 2025 replaces the fixed five-year cycle with a periodic interval of between six and twelve years, effective 1 October 2026. The Cycle 10 dates above stand until the Department adopts the rule that sets the new interval and how it applies to individual buildings.

Common questions

What if I miss my sub-cycle window?

Late filing penalties apply and continue to accrue until a report is filed. The obligation does not go away.

Does Local Law 49 mean my next inspection is further out?

It sets an interval of between six and twelve years going forward, but how it applies to a specific building depends on the implementing rule.
